Mk 6 Golf HID Conversion Kit

The Mk 6 VW Golf hid conversion works just the same way as the Mk 5 golf.

This golf had the H7R 8000k hid kit conversion.

No errors.

Again the bulb holders carry the power feed so the live and earth wires were hard-wired in.

The total time taken to fit the HID KIT on this mk 6 golf was 45 mins.

The Mk 5 Golf hid conversion requires patience at best!

The probelm with this conversion is that the H7 bulb holder has the live and earth connections running through it.

This in turns means  when you attempt to install a hid conversion kit on the Mk 5 golf, you have two choices.

1. use this connector and connect the wires to the ports shown.

The disadvantages to this is that, the connection is usually temperamental, so if the metal ports are not aligned with the opposing ends in the Mk 5 golf head lamp housing, the hid conversion kit will not work correctly.

2. We prefer not to wire the connector, you still need the connector but you hard wire the earth and live wire from the hid conversion kit to the golfs original wiring loom.

The hid conversion kit used in this golf, was a H7R 6000k.

The hid kit used was a canbus stage one.

Accessories used were: Bulb holder / connector and OBC cancelling units.

Autolights Hid conversion kit on this mark 4 golf.

The mk 4 golf has to be one of the simplest conversions to do, even though this golf had an aftermaket headlamp with projectors fitted.

We installed a H7 10000k hid kit upon the request of the owner, and the end result is there for all to see.

Below is the fabled R32 mk four, again it was another h7 hid conversion kit fitted by autolights, this time we opted for the 6000k hid kit.

Because the  mk four R32 does not have projector headlamp, we used the H7r bulb fitments, again, fitting was straight forward and the end result was sepctecular, something understated but had to be seen in the flesh.
